Sean & the ENT

Today Sean has his first appointment with the ENT to discuss his recurring ear infections - and the fact that he's been on anti-biotics for the better part of the past 6 months. He really liked "flirting" with the receptionist in the lobby - I've never seen him give such a big smile to a stranger - and then he'd hide his head and was being bashful. It was very cute. He also liked playing with the doctor's stethescope - and he was very good while the doctor looked in his ears. He got his first sticker from a doctor today for being brave. He tried to eat it.

The outcome of this visit is that Sean will have the tubes put in his ears to help drain the fluid that has been there since he was born. It should put a stop to both the ear infections & the need for anti-biotics - and Sean will hear normally for what could be the first time in his life - right now he hears everything like he's underwater.

We've scheduled this outpatient surgery for Monday, August 25th at FMH. I'll be glad when it's all over and our baby boy feels much better!

Life's a Beach!

Sean had a GREAT time at the beach! He played in the sand, got into the ocean, and rode the carousel. He loved meeting his "Aunt Stacey" and her daugthers, Kylie (4) and Emma (14 months) and Miss Marilyn (Stacey's Mom). He also loved riding the carousel at the boardwalk and he "won" a prize at the duck game - all in all - a GREAT trip!
